Transposing to a different key

Have you ever wanted or needed (because of that vocalist!) to play a song in a different key? Transposing is not really that difficult but it can take time. We've got this neat little tool for making it nice and simple. Download the transposer here (pdf). Requires Adobe Acrobat to view.

Print the Transposer, cut out the two circles and glue them to some card to strengthen them. Punch a hold in the middle of both of them, put the smaller circle on top of the bigger circle and put a paper fastener through the hole to hold them together.

To use it is much simpler. If the song you want to transpose is in the key of A and you want to transpose to B line up the letter B on the small circle with the letter A on the big circle. Now you can easily transpose any chord by simply locating the chord on the big circle and playing the associated chord on the small circle.
